1. Source of information. Vehicle history, title, brand, odometer/mileage, accident, salvage, theft, lien, ownership, registration, recall, specification, and valuation information (“Vehicle Data”) displayed by Orto is obtained from independent third-party data providers and from publicly available sources. Orto Industries, LLC does not create, originate, or control this information, does not independently verify its completeness or accuracy, and makes no representation or warranty that any report is complete, current, accurate, or error-free. Orto has no ability to independently audit or verify the underlying records maintained by its data providers.
2. Reports may be incomplete. A report reflects only information that was reported to, and made available by, a data source. Accidents, damage, repairs, odometer readings, title events, or other history that was never reported will not appear. The absence of information in a report does not mean an event did not occur. No vehicle history database contains every event in a vehicle’s history.
3. Historical snapshot only. Vehicle Data reflects information available from reporting sources at the time a report is generated. A report is a snapshot in time: events occurring after a report is generated will not appear unless you obtain a new report, and a report should not be assumed to remain current. Reports do not update automatically.
4. No guarantee of a clean vehicle. A report that shows no title brands, liens, accidents, or damage does not guarantee that none exist. The absence of a record is not proof that an event did not happen.
5. Informational use only. Reports are provided for general informational purposes only. A report is not a guarantee, certification, appraisal, inspection, or warranty of any kind regarding any vehicle. Reports should not be relied upon as the sole basis for purchasing, selling, financing, insuring, or valuing a vehicle. A report is not a substitute for a pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic or for independent verification of title, liens, and ownership.
6. No investment or valuation advice. Any estimated values, scores, ratings, market prices, or similar figures that may appear in a report are estimates only, are generated from third-party and public data, and must not be relied upon as an appraisal, a guarantee of value, or investment, lending, or insurance advice.
7. Please verify independently. You should independently confirm important information — including the VIN, title status, liens, open recalls, ownership, and service history — with the seller, the relevant department of motor vehicles, the manufacturer, the dealer, any lienholder, and a qualified inspector or mechanic before making any decision.
8. Results may differ from other providers. Report results may differ from reports produced by other vehicle history providers because providers maintain different data sources, update schedules, and reporting methodologies. A difference between reports does not mean that either report is wrong.
9. Not a consumer report. Orto is not a consumer reporting agency, and reports are not consumer reports under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act. Reports may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or any other FCRA-regulated purpose. To the extent any data derives from motor vehicle records, you must use it only for purposes permitted by the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act and applicable state law.
10. No AI-generated history. Vehicle information displayed in reports originates from licensed data providers and public records, not from artificial intelligence. Any optical character recognition used to read a license plate or VIN you submit does not create, infer, or determine the Vehicle Data contained in a report.
11. Authorized sources; compliance. Orto obtains Vehicle Data only from sources it reasonably believes are authorized to provide it. Orto relies in good faith upon representations made by its data providers regarding their authority to supply Vehicle Data and cannot independently verify every upstream licensing relationship. If Orto becomes aware that information was supplied in violation of law or a third party’s rights, Orto reserves the right to suspend or remove that information or data source immediately and without notice.
12. No affiliation. Orto is an independent product of Orto Industries, LLC and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with any vehicle manufacturer, dealer, government agency, or vehicle history report provider, unless expressly stated in writing. All third-party marks are the property of their respective owners.
13. Corrections. If you believe a report contains inaccurate information, contact us at mail@orto.mobi. We may, but are under no obligation to, review and forward your request to the relevant data provider, and we cannot guarantee that any provider will investigate or amend its records.
14. Assumption of risk; limitation of liability. By using any report, you acknowledge that you assume all risk associated with any reliance you place on it. Your use of any report is also subject to the disclaimers of warranty and limitations of liability in our Terms of Service, which are incorporated by reference.
